Dylan Osowski, 10, Thief River Falls, caught and released this 26-inch walleye Saturday, Feb. 10, while fishing at Long Point on Lake of the Woods north of Williams, Minn. Osowski is in fourth grade grade at Challenger Elementary School in Thief River Falls. “He is very excited about his big catch,” his mom, Jennifer, said in an email.

Dr. Kayla Odegard, Grand Forks, shot this moose with a bow Sept. 14 while hunting between Rock Lake and Sarles, N.D. According to her dad, Dr. Rick Odegard, she drew one of the once-in-a-lifetime tags the first time she applied.

Carter Olson, 11, Grand Forks, shot this buck in Kittson County during the snowy opening weekend of Minnesota's firearms deer season. The buck was Carter's largest to date, his dad, Brad  Olson, said, and they're having a shoulder mount made of the buck. Carter is in the fifth grade at J Nelson Kelly Elementary School in Grand Forks.
